Kaylor McKarian, has revealed himself to be in service with the Lich Leston Alcanter. His presence in Aegis with Leston, and his actions within the glade have branded him a wanted man.
He is forthwith banned entrance to the lands of Aegis, and is to be driven out or taken down with all due haste when seen.

Kaylor pulled the parchment free and crumpled it into his fist. Laying his arm across the treetrunk upon which the foul missive had been posted, he leaned his forehead against the rich lawn fabric of his sleeve and closed his eyes. The ache in his chest pierced far deeper than flesh, the tormenting chill enshrouding him far more fierce than the ravage of winter's decay. Never again would he kneel to any false king nor vow fealty only to witness its betrayal. His soul now rested in the hands of the one true Holy Father.
"Damn whoreson," he swore softly into the darkness. "You order me taken down so that I may stand on equal ground with one who has fallen so far from grace?" Shaking his head, he opened his eyes and summoned his mount. "So be it, Aedon," he laughed. "I welcome your attempt to drag me down to your level, fool!"

Aph was still in shock over witnessing what she had the night previously. Kaylor taking an innocent out of the tavern. Aph had thought the child safe, she had once again misjudged. Seeing Kaylor with the woman that had wanted to meet Vlad should have been a warning sign. She saw the postings Aedon had made. She knew it was coming after Kaylor had knocked out the child and took him.
In the back of her mind she wondered what Kaylor's lass would think of what he had done. Aph had gotten a good feeling from her, she had a light in her as well. She had been told that they would find the child and bring him back to the Aegis. She would not allow Kaylor to get away again.

Fiona was walking through the woods on one of her usual paths and came across the notice. She had not seen it previously, so she approached the tree where the note sat secured and read over it carefully. She frowned slightly as she read that Kaylor had become associated with Leston. She had known previously due to his actions in Que's the one night, that there was some association between the two, but she never thought Kaylor to turn and become one of Leston's entourage. She quietly returned to her home and made the necessary arrangements with Cassie, her dragonling, to go inform her mother.

Kaylor reined his steed in front of the Knight's Rest gently lowering his signature black rose at the foot of the stairs before racing away.

Lestons Minion scampered into his lair..."M'Lord I have something you must see"
Leston read the battered parchment and cackled loudly....
"These foolsssss..... we have held back long enough... it is time.... time to bring destruction to their doorstep!!!"
Lston the gave the order to his minion... "tells the otherssss the time is near and to prepare."
His minion smiled widely and scampered off to tell the others.
All at once a calmness came over Leston and he thought aloud.... " Aedon and the others of the Aegis are weak and easy targetsss but Beleg... yesss Beleg you talk a great game to othersss and your bark is much stronger than your bite.....and at first chance i will strike you down dead you foolish cusssssss."

He sipped from the blank onyx flask slowly, the small of nightshade stinging his nostril;
his yellow eyes slowly scanning the parchment which had been brought to him from his shadows.
“Alcanter…”
Slowly he sat back into his chair, as he lifted his flask to his lips once more.

Acacia ripped the piece of parchment down, curling it in her fists as she stifled a low growl. "Kaylor what have you done?" she spoke aloud, glancing around the wooded fore. Silence in response... she would have to discover that for herself and hopefully it would not be too late to save him.  |
