Kierstyn is a young teenager with shoulder-length honey-blonde hair. She looks typical, maybe a bit on the short side. Her eyes stay the same in both human and wolf forms. She is thin though not overly so, just under what would classify her as "athletic". She stands just under 5' tall. Her clothing is usually torn and dirty.
Wolf form:
In wolf form, she resembles a small brown timber wolf, slightly larger than a pup. She is very playful and puppy-like. Her fur is brown, darker along the spine, and her chest and belly are lighter. She has a thick undercoat of light brown fur that sheds twice a year.
Both forms:
Her eyes are always the same. Left brown, right aqua. She has a slight sight impairment in the right eye and it is sensitive to light. A leather collar is worn around her neck at all times, with a small round metal tag on it. The tag is engraved: one side bearing the name "Kierstyn" and the other side stating "Sef's".

Kier was raised in woods outside of the mining town of Minoc, in Trammel. Her parents were gypsies, though they had a permanent camp set up outside the town. A new settlement rose near the camp and unbeknownst to the gypsies, the residents were vampires and werewolves. A werewolf attack on her camp left Kierstyn undefended and she was bitten on the arm, left to die alone in the woods.
Kierstyn has no knowledge of shifting. As a human she is terrified of wolves, though she doesn't quite understand why. As a wolf, she prefers the company of humans. Neither side knows of the other. Kierstyn just wakes up in unusual places with no knowledge of how she got there.
A boy named Sef who lived in the settlement came upon her and befriended her. He recognized her unusual eyes in both forms and drew his own conclusion as to what she was, though he has never spoken of this to her.
Years passed, though Kierstyn has not aged. She has followed the familiar scent of Sef while in wolf form, though when she awakens as a human she sometimes backtracks. She did finally reach Sef, though he had changed. He keeps her as a pet when she is a wolf, and as a friend when she is human. They live with Layre and Arakad in Blackthorn Manor outside of Umbra.
