Gently she closed her journal and walked over to her vanity table, carefully she pulled out a small music box that she had since she was a small child. Her secret, her only belonging from when she was a child, a frosted blue small box instead of a tiny dancer there was a blue diamond rose on the top. The rose would spin slowly as the song played a melodious tune that would summon the fairies of dreams.
She slipped out of her clothing of the day and into her night dress of light gossamer of a purple hue. She lifted her blankets and slid underneath them, reaching down she picked up her tea and drinking it down, the music lulling her to sleep.
‘Happy dreams have happy dreams to help him.’ She repeated over and over. But then her thoughts turned to him, his hazel eyes, his dreamy face, his seductive voice.
She was standing in a field of green, flowers of the brightest colors all around; a flowering weeping willow blew in the warm breeze of spring. Scents of lilac and jasmine swirled around her. A crystal blue lake was near by the tree, a picnic was laid out under the tree. Two beautiful swans swam in the lake they could not take their eyes off one another. There he sat on the blanket spread out for the picnic, dressed in a white shirt the laces at the neck lightly undone, his chest only barely visible. He wore black leggings that were carefully tailored to show off his well defined legs, and riding boots. In his hand he held a rose of the lightest blue. She looked down at her own clothing to see that she was wearing the dress she had ordered for their supper. A gentle purple gown made of the finest silk, ivy stitched up the sides and around her waist, light pink and white roses woven between the ivy. The back of the dress was open to her skin so that the winds gently kissed her skin as they blew. Her hair was in delicate braids with curly tendrils caressing her face as she walked towards him. She blushed as she looked upon him as he waited for her to draw closer.
Picking up her dress she ran to him, a smile grew upon his face as he watched her. As she reached him he threw open his arms grabbing her and spinning her. They laughed and lightly kissed one another softly and gently, flower petals danced around them as they collapsed upon the blanket smiling and holding one another closely. They laid there just looking at one another for what seemed like hours before the separated briefly, but only to gather the fruits and wine so that they could eat. Feeding one another the moon soon rose in the sky as the suns set. Soon they were blanketed by the night sky and covered by the many stars in the sky twinkling like diamonds in the fire light.
But now they were not laying under the tree looking up at the sky but in a boat; she lying back against him looking up at the night sky as they spoke of the stars and drank their wine. They giggled and kissed, staying close. Stars shooting across the sky as they slept in one another’s arms, soon to be woken by fairy lights dancing around their boat singing. Gently they guided the boat safely back to the shore as the lovers watched in delight.
In her sleep she smiled. This was indeed a good dream, a grand dream. She cuddled herself deeper into her bed as her music box played in the background. On this cold winters eve she did not need the fire to warm her; instead she had her dreams to do so. She could only pray he was having the same dream.
