Y'all are a little embarassing to know. This culinary goddess would never do anything wrong in the kitchen. That's the room with the shoe warmer and the cold closet, right? shoe warmer and cold closet... yes of course... *smile and nod at the "goddess" *

*clears throat*
I shall have you people all know, that I happen to know my way very well around a kitchen. *nods firmly* They don't call me Iron Chef Aly for nothin'! I cook for you, you're mine for the next however many hours the food euphoria wears off. It wouldn't matter though, it's like a drug. You'll start having withdrawls and then it'll be "Aly, when are you going to make your potato salad again? Aly, I'm so craving your champ. What did you put in that pasta? Aly, those ribs are amazing..."
Yeah, that's right...twitch...you know you want it... *grins*
My only downfall really is...well ok it's two things...
baking. (I am SO not a baker. Fiona however is a fabulous baker. The extent of my baking ends with the ability to make brownies out of a box and making a really mean Irish Soda bread with currants from scratch. Which I haven't made in years. I should.)
And I tend to make a mess when I cook. >.< It never fails. I've stopped worrying about it. I've had to. Invariably something is going to splatter, spill, explode, spray, or otherwise make my kitchen look like a complete disaster area. One day, I'm going to have to call out the National Guard.
But whatevah! *wags finger at you all* I say, make your kitchens as messy as you want while you cook. =p At least you know you had fun doing it! I'm a firm believer in being passionate about your cooking. ^^
by the way, there are a few dishes I will only allow Fiona to make. She's so good at them, that I'm entirely biased in her favor.

Momma always told me, "if you're gonna make a mess make it worth the effort in having to clean the darn thing up afterwards." so yes, I am totally with the make a mess all ya want. its not Great unless its messy! {eating, making, and all points in between}

My daughter was a baby at the time and just learning to walk, she walked right into the bubbles and had a surprised look on her face when she fell on her diaper. Then she just had a blast playing in it.

I would so starve at your house, Aly. Unless Fiona was baking. I don't do ribs, potato salad, or anything else that is usually deemed as "picnic food". I can, however.. do cookies, cakes, and a few pies.

*chuckles at Ri*
Now that you've warned me, I'll never say it!
I may say "Sit-chee-ay-shun" a few times though for old time's sakes. *grins*
