Ya it is abit of a computer eater, tbh I was REALLY surprised that it worked on my Laptop (6 years old) But when you do just pre-pair to loose hours of life at a time I hear ya, I still loose hours to Diablo 2 when I have it installed, 3 will kidnap me!

Don't worry it's not as addictive as D2, and I don't think I'm ruining anything by saying this, all the characters are basically cookie cutter as oppsosed to the unique factor you had in D2, where your character was special because you'd skilled it up to be the way you wanted it. In D3 you literally can switch your template to whatever some guy who just cleared the level suggests without the blink of an eye, infact you're almost required to play a certain template at each point in the game it feels forced, this isn't to say that I haven't sunken 120 hours into the game I'm saying D3 doesn't have the replay value D2 had especially with the lack of PvP at launch and the fact PvP will be so flexible that you'll be fighting clones of yourself. In D2 you were free to make your character so different that you could completely mess yourself up and realize it only later on a tougher difficulty, Like my brother thought he'd end up doing in D3, He said "Hey bro can't wait to play and make characters we think are good but really suck so we end up dying all the time haha" (might be paraphrased but the spirit of the quote is still there) the fact that that can't actually happen in D3 is what bothers me. Sure D3 is more forgiving but where is the fun in that?

Weird. *blinks* I never changed my build once through the whole game in my first run through. I found the things I liked and stuck with them. I never came across something I didn't think I could handle with the skill set I chose.

Wait until you get to hell or higher nightmare, normal is literally a tutorial in difficulty, I wont even get into inferno where they've actually seemed to cut the loot table in response to act two being an extreme difficulty jump from act one.
You can literally get through Normal with just your left and right mouse keys, I don't think I actually started using potions until act four nightmare.

I have no Diablo 2 thingies so I posted these instead. Aedon in GW2--Do you not love my Goat insignia? Aedon and Jan in Lotro. ( what in the world does she see in him?)

*grins* I remember some good adventures with Jan and Aedon in lotro.
Nightmare so far is doable for me but I'm laboring under the idea of going through the game yet again. It's now at the point where I'll play with Faris and other friends...but I have no care or desire to plod through the game alone. *chuckles* So I doubt I'll ever get to hell level or inferno.

Yeah once you run through nightmare you'll find normal just a chore for any new characters, they really screwed up the difficulty levels, and the replay value is awful compared to D2 since they decided to make levels static because it was programed by WoW developers instead of the ones who worked on D2 who would have focused on randomization and PvP mechanics over some god awful auction house.

The idea of having an auction house in Diablo is just...weird to me. I'll never use it.
And I noticed pretty quick how the levels were static. That kind of surprised me. I miss the old randomized level maps =(

I am getting used to having auction houses in most games I play.
