My son likes the series, and offered me one of his buddy codes or whatever they call them. I am waiting for the full release of GW2, and in the mean time looking forward to each beta weekend or event.

I've beat the game twice already as a demon hunter and a wizard and was about to beat it as a monk when bnet went down last night. we saw it was going down and we basically rushed the fourth act in ten minutes getting everything except the last boss it was silly ridiculous.
I'm DefiantOdds and you need a number to add with a tag which is #1324

I haven't been able to afford it yet, once the initial hype dies back and the price comes down 10$ or so I will be able to get it, or if I get a job soon I will buy it as a first paycheque treat! Will let you know what my id is once I have one.

Don't bother tbh it's not worth it at the price it is now and 10$ cheaper would still be a bit pricy, once it's around $40 maybe unless you like the system they've implemented where you don't have to think about your stats when you level up and you get every ability and they scale from stats instead of level of the spell like in 1&2. If you're in it for the story waiting wont hurt you unless you see spoilers. All in all D3 is okay but had they stayed with all the same systems of D2 and just upgraded the graphics to what they have now It would have been a better game, although I admit the chaining objectives they borrowed from WoW is kind of nice as it had the potential to make the story move more fluently but instead it just feels like you go from place to place for no reason. There are several side quests but those could have been added into the old system no problem, they've basically made it so you don't have to think about your characters advancement at all because there are no consequences, even in nightmare mode you don't lose gold anymore because the stash doesn't have a slot for gold and everything is communal between your account.
Overall it's not innovative in game play it's just dumbed down so my six year old niece could probably play it and get nightmares, but it is a Diablo game therefore millions of people will buy it regardless of it's flaws and it being extremely overpriced, myself included (I didn't play the beta or watch any previews because I had faith that blizzard wouldn't make me cry with a system so bland it makes paint drying look interesting), There are also the people in it for the story which is decent but My brother and a few friends I played with basically predicted everything and I mean everything, That being said it does set up for a Diablo 4, and without giving spoilers I can say I'm not sure how good it will be.
But once it goes down in price it's an okay game but definitely not the ground breaking sequel everyone has been waiting for 12 years. Although like I said it is a Diablo game so it's part of the story and that alone kind of warrants playing the game but not playing through the nose to do so.

My son said it is an okay game, but it only made him want to play Diablo 2. It is not good for a game to make you want to play the previous version.

I enjoyed the first two. Haven't gotten the third yet. Will probably pick it up at some point once I get a computer here that will run games. (Which will be very soon muahaha!).
But then again once I do that I'll be more interested in finally playing ME3 and spending time with Faris and my son in LotRO since it's the only thing we can do together due to being 3k miles away from one another. *sighs*
Once ME3 is done with I might check D3 out...maybe... Probably only if Faris gets a copy of it and then I'll play that multi player with them too =p

I'll have to speak in Diablo 3's defense Though I haven't beat it yet (like 99% of games I buy) but I have really enjoyed this game more so then I have in alot I have bought/rented over the last half year or so
It def is a step away from Diablo 2 but I like that, to be honest having to worry about keeping a million town portal and ID scrolls was just a hassle, as well as the putting skill points into different attributes; I know some people really liked those things but tbh to me they where just another annoyance to deal with to get back to bashing enemies.
The new Co-Op Loot system to fu#king amazing, no more scrambling to pick up loot when you kill a boss.
D3 is def going to be in my roster for awhile now, I have a few friends to co-op with and we having been having all kinds of fun running through Acts trying to collect cool loot. In my opinion if your going to pay 60$ for a game I can't really say another one out there right not I would give that amount for Save D3.
And ehh, the whole Mass Effect franchise has been just a big Hit-an Miss for me.

You know Clive the thing that makes a game great is the friends you have playing it with you. It is what keeps me playing the ones I am in.

Faris went out and bought a copy of D3 and he's enjoying it.
Yeah I've heard all about the ending of ME3 pissing everyone off. *chuckles* It'll probably annoy me too but that's ok. I've been waiting to play it for too long to let it make me that mad. *grins*
Once ME3 is done then I'll putter around with D3. I'll be getting it at the same time as ME3 (both are coming pre-installed on my new system) but D3 is lower on my priority than the others.
I also want to play old republic as I have some good friends from lotro who want me to come over and play with them. I played in the beta and had a lot of fun but...I don't know if I'll even have time to be honest. My gaming time is cut way down as it is now...
